To update outdated drivers detected by Advanced Driver Updater, follow these steps:
  • Run Advanced Driver Updater.
  • Click the Start Scan Now button to identify outdated drivers.
  • Once the scan is finished, you will get a list of outdated drivers. Review the list and update corrupt, missing, or incompatible drivers.
  • If you are a registered user, click the Update All button to update all detected outdated drivers at once. However, if you are using the trial version to test how the tool works, click ''Update'' next to the driver you wish to update.

Note - Trial version users can update only one driver at a time.

  • Wait for the process to finish, then restart the system to save the changes.

To restore the driver backup taken by Advanced Driver Updater, follow these steps:

  • Launch Advanced Driver Updater.
  • Click on the Restore tab.
  • Select the backup of the respective date and click on the Load Backup button.
  • Now, check the device driver you wish to restore and click on the Restore button.
This will roll back to the previous driver.

FAQ How to add incompatible drivers to the exclusion list?

To add a driver to the exclusion list, follow these steps:
  • Launch Advanced Driver Updater.
  • Run the scan by clicking the ''Start Scan Now'' button.
  • Right-click on the driver you want to exclude and click Ignore.
  • This will add the driver to the exclusion list, and it will not be shown in the following scan.
On subsequent scans, the drivers added to the exclusion list will not be displayed in the scan results and will not be updated.

You encounter this problem when the security application or firewall you are using blocks the software from accessing the internet connection. To avoid this, we suggest adding adu.exe to the allow list/exclusion list of your firewall/anti-virus, and then trying to update the drivers again. It should work.
